Today

So normally, my parents would have a "do not enter" sign on their newly finished basement door, but they have so kindly opened that new space up for us. We have been moving our belongings into their house and will reside there until we find a place of our own. We have found some promising houses and at this point are praying that soon we FINALLY will have a place to call home. As for this weekend, we will be changing our address and joining the farm folk of mapleton. Love it! Ta Ta for now. P.S. how much do you LOVE the colored walls here in dorchester Massachusettes....they have great taste!

Boston- phase 3

The old colonial buildings in Boston are to die for! I love all the history behind them.

Mom thought she was one smart cookie walking through Harvard University.

And then there are our gollashes. We didn't go anywhere without them. All of our shopping money was spent on rain shoes, beenies, rain coats, gloves and hand warmer. But aren't they stylish?

Finished!

Hey folks, just wanted to quickly report on the 111th annual Boston marathon. Im still in Boston at the time but wanted to keep you posted and say a HUGE thanks for all the support. I was thinking about y'all the whole race! Well, with rumors of cancelling the marathon the day before, it still happened despite of the "nor easter" storm. (meaning, big spring storm on the east coast). The start was a little rough as my feet were soggy and numb and the rain and wind were pelting me from all sides, but some major answers to prayers happened the 2nd half of the run and the weather held up! I finished with a smile on my face at 3 hr and 53 min. (which is better than i thought i would do). I was so happy and have been so emotional all day! My sister and mom and mom-in-law spotted me at mile 24 and from then on, i knew i was going to finish a dream of mine! It was amazing and ALL i expected and more! Anyways, more details and pics to follow soon. Happy Monday and ill be homeward bound tomorrow (if our flights aren't cancelled).

P.S. apparently there was an article that ran today in the daily herald with my apperance. Check it out...www.harktheherald.com

The time has come...

Well, Im off to NYC and Boston,MA. I will miss you all but im sure you won't want to be in my shoes (literally). They will be stinky, sweaty and worn down this weekend after running 26.2 miles. Wish me luck. Until then, watch for an upcoming story in the daily herald newspaper on utah valley participants in the Boston Marathon. I will be making a debut. Boy, do i feel famous! Ta Ta for now.
P.S. If you are interested, another cool feature is to log on to www.bostonmarathon.com on race day (monday April 16th) and you can find out exactly where i am on the course. You can make fun of me if i am lagging behind or cheer me on if im speedy.

Softball

Well softball season has officially started up again....its been a whole 4 months since we have been to the famous "footprinters softball park". This team as been together for years and play through spring, summer and fall...which means i get to spend my monday nights chasing Owen around with churro's, hotdogs and suckers in his hands. Tonight he was cheering on "tyson", not daddy...Tyson. He calls him by his first name now and its hilarious! Anyways, the team is fabulous and if you ever want to see mullets and tight shorts, you can bet you will see many on adults and kids on monday nights sitting by me at the sotfball park.

All Owen needs is a bat in 1 hand and a sucker in the other and he is a happy lad! My camera was MIA during the Easter weekend so more pics to follow when i chase down some photos from my family. You will be able to see Owen running through the sprinkles with a muscle tee on, a sticker truck tatoo on his bicep and his buzzed head shining in the sun- can we say white trash? Nice. Lots of famiy, lots of food and lots o candy!
P.S. 3 day countdown until we leave for BOSTON! (stomach ache of nerves!)

Bad news but new beginnings...

This photo is meant for cheering up as we revieved from bad news today...we're getting the "boot". Yes folks, we have to move. The house we currently rent is in need by some other family members, so we are in the process of figuring out what the heck we are going to do. Let me just say how grateful we are for this place that we lived in and the landlords who are the most giving and considerate people! We are excited for a new beginning but where? what? and How? are the questions. After living in a nice cozy house that is just the right size for our family, it is hard to down-grade or find something equally as nice for our budget. I think the thing that is upsetting me most, is the fact that i live 1/2 a mile away from my sister who is also more that a sister...she the best. What shall i do away from her? Anywho, keep ears and eyes open for us, if you will friends! Happy house/apartment/condo/townhome hunting for us.

Mohawks and campfires

This weekend we had spent alot of time at my mom-dads house roasting marshmallows, grillin up burgers, playing soccer on the grass and enjoying the brand new playroom. HEre are a few details from our conference weekend. (above) Owen and I cuddle around the campfire along with Tysons sister Courtney. Haley cuddles with the kiddies on the swing and (below) we get bored and give Owen a TRUE Mohawk. In the process of shaving his head, we decided to stop and keep it hard core for a few days. Good times this weekend!
