lighting ceremony

As you may recall, my husband is very much into Christmas. The season, the parties, the festivities...and THE LIGHTS. This year was our
1st annual LIGHTING CEREMONY...

Neighbors gathered, drank hot choco, ate marshmallows till there mouths were sticky and helped us start the Christmas season with a bang
the countdown begins from 10,9,8...wait for it, wait for it.

and...Ohhhhhh, Ahhhhhhh.
Tyson worked so hard and this picture doesn't even do it justice.
Merry Christmas Season to all!
ps- we do LOVE and give ALL our thanks for thanksgiving...but we do like to start xmas early around here.

Sweet. I love it. I am all about getting Christmas off to an early start. How fun! Hey! Do you want to meet at the park after Kindermusik on Wednesday? It should be nice weather.

What?!! Did our invitation get lost in the mail? You must have just forgotten that we live right down the street... it will take some getting used to, I am sure:) Looks like tons of fun!! Come by and see us some time! They are opening up our hot tub (we think) so you will have to come by soon!

You are TOTALLY right -- the picture does NOT do the lights justice - they were spectacular. Also, it was really fun seeing you and your cute little family - you guys are great! If you decide to move out of utah, we definitely would love you to come out east our way....ha ha - not to push or add pressure or anything! NO, i am sure you will be great wherever you go and everyone will love you! I had fun chatting with you guys!

I'm so glad we're friends and share excitement for Christmas! Cole won't put up our lights yet. I'm going to lay them out on his bed today so hopefully he'll do them soon while the weather is nice. P.S. Laney, Grayden and I created our sock count-down for Christmas. I'll post a picture of it soon. It turned out pretty cute. Thanks for the idea!

I'm jealous! I asked my husband if we could just put up our christmas tree and maybe go buy lights to put up this year and he said, "No way, not until after Thanksgiving at least!" I love the christmas season and get so excited the second someone puts up lights on their house, so congrats to you and your neighbors that get to enjoy your hard fun work and beautiful lights!

Thank you for letting us be part of such a wonderful and historic event. It is always so much fun to hang out with you guys and the rest of the 1150 gang. You are right, the picture doesn't do it justice. Tyson really did do a great job. Can't wait for 2009.
