change

So im always told, "change is good." Well, i have a hard time with change. I am happy with my little life. I don't want anyone to grow up or grow older. I don't want to change friends and I don't want my daily routine to change.
Owen started preschool last week. He is getting so big and growing up so fast but learning so much everyday.
Reggie is starting to let go of objects he stands up to. I don't want him to walk. My little baby is getting so big, yet is a major mama's boy and i love that about him.
I got released from being a primary teacher. I was so sad. I miss my little 4 year olds!
Then i got a new calling as young womens 2nd counselor. Today was my first day in Ym's and today...i am ok with change. i love those girls already.
So sometimes..change is good.

Welcome to the YW program. I teach the Beehives and I love my girls. They are so excited about the church that they help me to better appreciate my calling.

I can not say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are going to get better!!

Oh Linds, those girls are sooo lucky, you will be so great with them, and they will have a blast with you! I know what you mean with the kiddos though, Ry just started walking instead of scooting on her little bum, and little Lance is a size 11 in shoes! (no more velcrow) I'm sooo sad, these kids grow up WAAAAY too fast!

Change is SUPER HARD - I am sure of that -- but so good for us most the time....at least that is what I am trying to tell myself as I just have a 4 week old baby, have moved to a new city where I know NOONE, and am now not working, don't have a church calling, and trying to adjust to just being a mom -- feeling like i don't accomplish much of anything all day long day in and day out!!! I hate change, but always look back and see that it has made me stronger -- i am excited for you to be in YW -- I was there for a year and LOVED it --- the youth are so great!!! You will be awesome and they will LOVE you! we need to talk on phone soon! call me!

I am with ya! It is so hard to see your kids grow up... but so exciting too. It's strange. I can't believe your little guy is in Preschool.
