happy birthday to my beautiful grandma thatcher. (or in Owen's words- grandma Stan). Have you ever seen a more gorgeous grandmother? She is loving, selfless, loyal, charitable and super adventurous. She still goes camping, rv-ing and road tripping with her very handsome cowboy husband (grandpa stan) and all her friends. I hope someday to inherit all her qualities! I love you grandma.

in other news today- our pet Catapillar Charlie has started his cocoon. Owen checks on him every 10 minutes so he doesn't miss the process. Since i won't let him have a 'real' pet in our house, charlie has become the closest it comes!

Red Balloon

Red balloons always make me happy and so will they for Stephanie and Christian.

On saturday Cjane came up with a cute idea to let off red balloons to keep our faith and spirits high during steph's and Mr nielson's recovery. Steph would love this! The plan is to do this on saturday at 6pm... Take pics and email them to her sister cjanerun.com

prayers for Nienie

This is Stephanie and her hubby Christian. I feel like i have known Stephanie my whole life...even though i just met her a few months ago as she so willingly joined our wasatch back team

which was mostly family. She was our family for 24 hours. I got to know her and her husband and fell in love with them. they are super great people. Stephanie and I had a heart to heart talk on a blanket on the grass from somewhere between logan and park city. We talked about life, kids, hard time and good times....and so on.

I recently just got the news that Stephanie and her husband were in a place crash over the weekend and Stephanie is in 'not the best condition'. She will be in for months of recovery. If you could remember my new friend Stephanie and her family in your prayers, it would be much appreciated. For more updates on Steph, visit her sister cjane.

camping adventure

Last weekend we went camping and got caught in a major rain storm....
The good part about it was that we were with THE BEST people around town. Here is Owen with 3 of his best friends.... (dallas, Garison and Tiff). Really...he LOVES these guys.

Even though we hid out in our tent for awhile to avvoid being struck by lightening...

It was the adventure that counted and the fam had a great time... we cant wait to do it again.

reg-man

Once there was a mini-me named Reg man. He was as smiley as can be and so was his mother until this happened-

The crib had to be lowered because Reg-man started standing up and trying to climb right out.

Reg-man is only 6 1/2 months and shouldn't be doing this stuff yet. I wish he could stay little forever.

Camp-out...

... In the backyard. My mom and dad took the boyzzz camping this weekend....in a tent...in their yard. It was off the hook apparently and they all slept like angels.

Then they woke up at 6 in the AM and each got their choice of breakfast foods. Mother ended up cooking pancakes, waffles, french toast, bacon and eggs. Boyz!!

They rode 4-wheelers, roasted weenies and marshmallows & told stories. It was a blast for them! ANd nice for me too.. i cant lie. I went to bed early and got to sleep in. Sweet!
